Today, the 1st day of June, 2021, the leadership of the Sokoto state Female Education Board paid a courtesy visit to ASATTAHIR International Foundation at its corporate headquarters No. 21b, Kware Road Gawon Nama, area, Sokoto.
The visit was led by the Special Adviser of the Board, Hajiya Aisha Musa Maina. She was accompanied by the Director General of the Board, Hajiya Lubabatu Abubakar.
The delegation was received by the management of ASATTAHIR International. The Executive Secretary of the Foundation, Prof. Yahaya T. Baba took the visitors through the various activities of the Foundation, particularly in the area of girl child education. Documentaries of series of the Foundation’s intervention in girl child education were projected with commentaries and interpretation by the Executive Secretary of the Foundation.
Jingles of campaigns for girl child education, activities of the Foundation’s pet projects on girl child education were presented. Maryam Shehu Adarawa and Rufa’atu Saidu, two among the beneficiaries of the Foundation’s intervention in girl child education were in attendance and interacted with Special Adviser and the Director General of the Board.
On their part, the Special
Adviser and the Director General of the Board, commended the Foundation for their intervention and passion for women and girl child education. They expressed the gratitude and appreciation of the Board for the Foundation’s complementary role in women and girl child education. They argued that the state government is committed to Female Education but the efforts of government need to be complemented by platforms such as ASATTAHIR.
In the light of the above, both the Special Adviser and the Director General requested for collaboration and partnership with ASATTAHIR Foundation in furtherance of women and girl child education.
In his response, the Chairman of the Foundation, Aliyu Sidi Attahiru commended the leadership of of the Board and assured the delegation of the Foundation’s readiness and commitment to partner and collaborate with the Board to improve Female and girl child education in Sokoto.
In her votes of thanks, Barrister Rashida Mohammed, the Legal Adviser of the Foundation, expressed appreciation of the Foundation for the visit and reiterated the platform continued commitment to Female and girl child education to support government and other development partners.
The Special Adviser signed visitors’ register after a group photograph, which rounded off the courtesy visit.
