The Founder and Chairman Board of Trustees of ASATTAHIR International Foundation, Aliyu Sidi Attahiru has, today, the 6th March, 2025 flagged off road construction project he facilitated for Bado Community in Wamakko Local Government Area of Sokoto state.
The nearly 1.5 kilometer road project is funded by the Federal Government under the supervision of Federal Road Maintenance Agency (FERMA). The road project is a standard gauge that consists of drainages on both sides and spacious shoulders , which enhances the quality and durability of the road infrastructure for socio-economic development of the community. The road infrastructure will also serve as a vital link among various communities, facilitating the transportation of goods and services, thereby boosting economic activities in the area.
As an added value, the inclusion of drainages on both sides of the road will put an end to the recurring incidents of floods in the area, providing relief to residents and protecting their properties and livelihood.
This is coming barely a year after the Founder facilitated the construction of 4 solar-powered boreholes, which have significantly improved access to clean water and sanitation for the affected communities.
The low-key flag off ceremony was attended by community and religious leaders, representatives of FERMA and other critical stakeholders. The Founder assured the community that the project will commence in earnest and will be completed as provided in the specifications of the project.
The road project is a valuable addition to the vaious community oriented projets facilitated by Aliyu Sidi Attahiru across various communities, which earned him Award of Excellence as “Community Developer of the Year” in December 2024, in recognition of his frantic efforts to improve the livelihoods of individuals and communities.
This project is a testament to the Founder’s dedication to improving the lives of individuals and communities.
