On the 28th December, 2024, the Founder and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of ASATTAHIR International Foundation (AIF) Aliyu Sidi Attahiru, was honored with a prestigious award for ‘Outstanding Community Developer of the Year ‘2024’.
The event was organized by Amazing Fame Concept in collaboration with the Caliphate Youth Forum Sokoto. The award was presented to the Founder in recognition of his outstanding contributions to community development and service to humanity in Sokoto state and beyond.
The ceremony took place with dignitaries from various sectors, including His Excellency the Deputy Governor of Sokoto state and Her Excellency the First Lady of the state who was ably represented by the serving Honourable Commissioner, Ministry of Women and Children Affairs, Sokoto state.
To celebrate this remarkable achievement, AIF’s Founder was accompanied by a high-powered entourage, which include the Director/Clerk of the House Committee on Appropriations, National Assembly, Ibrahim Sidi. Others include the Executive Secretary AIF Prof. Yahaya Tanko Baba, Prof. Ibrahim Dankanni of the Department of Geography, Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto, Prof. Abubakar Sabo, Former Branch Chairman of ASUU, Dr. Garba Ibrahim, Head of Access and Safety Unit of AIF, Head, Program and Research, AIF Mr Rufus Yakong, Alhaji Basharu Altine, Chairman, Rundunar Adalci, Alhaji Sidi Mukhtar, Hon. Commissioner, State INEC, Alhaji Murtala Muhammad, Former DG, State Fire Service as well as AIF team and the family.
The award night highlighted the Founder’s long-standing dedication to humanity and social interventions, especially his leadership in championing humanitarian and development projects across communities in Sokoto state and beyond.
His contributions have made significant impacts in the areas of education, health, economic empowerment, care for the people with disabilities, humanitarian programs and research.
The occasion was marked with choreography, speeches from resource persons and launching of magazines. The event ended with photographs and exchange of pleasantries with numerous distinguished guests.
