As part of his Humanitarian and Community Development Support Initiative, the Founder and Chairman, ASATTAHIR International Foundation is today recognised and awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Management of Government Girls Day Secondary School, Badon Barade at the maiden Graduation Ceremony for the Senior Secondary School Students of the School.
The Ceremony was graced by the Hon. Commissioner, Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education (MBSE), Alh. Bello Abubakar Gwuiwa, ably represented by the Deputy Director Quality Assurance Alh. Abubakar Alhassan, the Director General, Female Education Board, Haj. Luba Abubakar Kasim, Director, Planning, Research and Statistics of the MBSE, Representative of the Village Head of Badon Barade among other many dignitaries.
In her opening remarks, the Principal of the School, Hajiya Rahmatu Halidu appreciated the guests for honoring the invitation and their untiring efforts for the development of the school. In particular, the Principal acknowledged the support and contributions of the Chairman of ASATTAHIR International Foundation, Aliyu Sidi Attahiru for his significant contributions to the development of the school.
She added that Aliyu Sidi Attahiru influenced a project of one block of two classrooms, office and store for the school, which has enhanced teaching and learning in the school.
She therefore emphasized the gratitude of the school and the community for this remarkable gesture.
Similarly, both the representative of the Commissioner of Education and the Director, Planning, Research and Statistics praised the commitment of Aliyu Sidi Attahiru for his support to education and in particular the school. They encouraged all well meaning members of the community to emulate his gesture to complement government’s commitment to education in the state.
The Director Planning of the MBSE, Alh. Abdullahi Marafa presented the award to Aliyu Sidi Attahiru on behalf of the School Management.
Responding briefly after receiving the award, Aliyu Sidi Attahiru expressed his appreciation to the School Management for the recognition and honor done to him and gave some words of encouragement to the public, particularly influential and wealth to do individuals to participate in the development of their Communities in many possible ways necessary.
The Ceremony featured Quaranic recitation, short plays, speeches, music and presentation of gifts to outstanding graduating students of the School. Earlier on, one the teachers of the school, Malama Shema’u presented a phoem on the ASATTAHIR International Foundation, depicting its community Support Iniatiative in the society as stimulus for other outfits and individuals to bridge the development gaps across sectors of the economy and Society.
The Ceremony was rounded off with a group photograph that included the guests, teachers and graduating students.
