At ASATTAHIR International Foundation (AIF), we believe the most valuable lessons in humanitarian work are learned in the communities we serve.
Led by our Head of Programs and Research, Rufus Yagkong, staff of AIF accompanied fellows of the Nigeria Jubilee Fellows Programme (NJFP) on a field learning visit to Ramin Kura IDP Camp, Sokoto, where they participated in a simulation of AIF’s integrated multi-sectoral humanitarian intervention in Northwest Nigeria.
The NJFP fellows, deployed through UNDP and funded by the European Union, have been supporting AIF across various departments since joining the organization. They have contributed to programmes spanning Protection, Health, WASH, Livelihoods, and Nutrition, gaining practical experience while supporting meaningful humanitarian interventions.
The field visit gave the fellows an opportunity to connect classroom knowledge with real-world humanitarian practice, interact with vulnerable communities, and better understand how integrated programming delivers lasting impact.
