ASATTAHIR INTERNATIONAL FOUNDATION(AIF) RECEIVED A HIGH POWERED DELEGATION OF THE SOKOTO PROFESSIONALS NETWORK (SPN) ON A COURTESY VISIT AT ITS CORPORATE HEADQUARTERS IN SOKOTO STATE:

On the 30th day of July, 2025, ASATTAHIR International Foundation received a high powered delegation of one of the most active home-grown Non-governmental Platform in Sokoto, the Sokoto Professionals Network (SPN) on a courtesy visit to the Foundation. The visit was on the request of the SPN, which was swiftly endorsed by the Board and Management of ASATTAHIR Foundation as a mark of recognition and respect for the evolving, impactful and ever expanding network of professionals in Sokoto. The delegation, led by its Chairman of the incorporated Board of Trustees, Engr. Zayyanu Tambari Yabo was supported by the Legal Adviser, Barr. Zainab Bello Aliyu and other officials of the Network that included Barr. Safiya Usman that include Sirajo Dalhatu Sifawa, Sirajo Abdulahi, Sanusi Sarki, Mahmood Rabiu, Abubakar Mai Lato YDO and Bashar Bello.

The team was received at the office of AIF by the Founder and Chairman, BoT ASATTAHIR International Foundation, Aliyu Sidi Attahiru. Other members of the ASATTAHIR Team included the Executive Secretary of the Foundation, Prof. Yahaya Tanko Baba, Dr. Garba Ibrahim, Head of Access and Safety Department, Zuwaira Umar Yabo, the Nutrition Officer, Sa’adatu Musa Gotomo, Head of Protection Unit, Jamilu Tanko, Monitoring and Evaluation Officer as well as Muhammad Sidi Ali, the ICT officer of the Foundation.

In his welcome address, the Founder expressed gratitude and appreciation to the leadership of SPN for the courtesy visit and acknowledged the immense contributions of the platform in uplifting the people, particularly in the areas of people’s empowerment.

The Chairman also briefed the entourage on the core thematic areas of the Foundation that include education, health, food and nutrition, people’s empowerment, livelihood support for Internally Displaced Persons, Disaster Management among other critical areas of direct need to the vulnerable people.

The Executive Secretary of the Foundation, Prof. Yahaya Tanko Baba elaborated on the philosophy of ASATTAHIR as a non-partisan, non-profit, non-governmental and home-grown platform committed to people’s empowerment for sustainable human development. He emphasized on the sacrifices being made with locally mobilised resources in the areas of research, IDPs, food and nutrition, WASH, Livelihood support without donor support. He expressed optimism that partnership and collaboration between AIF and SPN, two home-grown platforms committed to the empowerment of the people will immeasurably enhance the prospects for the development of our society.

On his part, the Chairman of SPN thanked the Founder and Chairman Board of Trustees of ASATTAHIR International Foundation for accepting their request for a courtesy visit on a short notice. He commended the leadership of the Foundation for their widespread activities in humanitarian and livelihood support for the vulnerable people in Sokoto and beyond. He reiterated the need for partnership and collaboration between SPN and AIF in order to optimise the provision of opportunities for the people in Sokoto and other parts of the country. As a recognition for the Foundation’s service to humanity, the SPN presented a plaque to the Founder and Chairman Board of Trustees, ASATTAHIR International Foundation, Aliyu Sidi Attahiru complimenting his immense contributions to the advancement of humanity.

Other members in the meeting contributed with goodwill messages strengthening the folds of the platforms as potential partners for the empowerment of the people for sustainable development.
The session ended with exchange of pleasantries and group photographs with members from both sides of the platforms.
