*ASATTAHIR INTERNATIONAL FOUNDATION SYNERGIZED WITH SOKOTO STATE EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY (SEMA) ON THE DISTRIBUTION OF EMERGENCY SHELTER KITS AND NON-FOOD ITEMS TO IDPS AND REFUGEES IN SOKOTO STATE WITH SUPPORT FROM DANISH REFUGEE COUNCIL*

On the 8th November 2023, ASATTAHIR International Foundation’s team led by the Founder and Chairman Board of Trustees Aliyu Sidi Attahiru synergized with SEMA to ensure successful distribution of Items to IDPs and refugees in the state.

The Founder and Chairman Board of Trustees of ASATTAHIR International Foundation Aliyu Sidi Attahiru started by congratulating the Special Adviser State Emergency Management Agency over his recent appointment to head the affairs of the agency.

He also thanked the Special Adviser, the Director General, and other Directors present for the warm reception granted his team.

He used the medium to intimate the agency that Danish Refugee Council has engaged ASATTAHIR International Foundation to distribute of emergency shelter kits and non-food items in Ramin Kura IDP camp, Gwiwa Eka and Bodinga IDP settlements.

He added that the Foundation has successfully completed the awareness raising activities, mapping and screening of prospective beneficiaries and plan is underway for the distribution of the items to the beneficiaries.

He called for synergy and collaboration with SEMA in the distribution exercise across the selected locations in the state.

The Special Adviser Of SEMA Hon. Nasiru Garba kalambaina was delighted to receive AIF’s team in his office.

He applauded the Foundation for it’s contribution in the state, particularly for setting pace in responding to the humanitarian needs of internally displaced persons and refugees as a result of conflicts, insecurity and natural disasters as well as the plights of less privileged and vulnerable groups in the state.

He noted that the Agency recognized the Foundation as it’s long standing partner and recalled collaborating with AIF many times in response to humanitarian emergencies in the state.

He reassured his agency’s commitment to work hand in hand with the Foundation and its readiness to support the Foundation impact more lives in the state whenever the need arises.
