ASATTAHIR International Foundation Reiterates its Continued Support for Maryam Shehu Adarawa as she gained accelerated promotion to Junior Secondary School after completion of Primary Education:

Today the 6th day of November, 2019, ASATTAHIR International Foundation celebrates Maryam Shehu Adarawa, a Twenty Year Old Blind Girl enrolled at the A A Raji Special School as she gained accelerated promotion to Junior Secondary School after completion of Primary Education. Maryam was enrolled in school sometimes in February by the Foundation as part of it’s support for the vulnerable people in the society.
While at the school, the delegation of the Foundation was received by the Principal of the school, Mal. Aliyu Modi Sifawa, who took the delegation to the Junior Secondary Section of the school where Maryam is receiving lessons along with other students.
The foundation is impressed not only with the learning pace of Maryam but her integration with the normal students in the school. At the newly promoted class, Maryam is receiving lessons with normal students with special attention from tutors that have expertise in handling classes of students with mixed characteristics.
Speaking to newsmen the Chairman of the Foundation, Aliyu Sidi Attahiru reiterated the commitment of the foundation to the continued support for the educational empowerment of Maryam Shehu Adarawa and indeed other people particularly the less previlleged and the vulnerable ones in the society.
The Secretary of the Foundation, Dr. Yahaya Baba commended the state government for providing the infrastructure and facilities for the educational training of the special people. He also called on the state government to replicate such types of schools across the state to attract the large chunk of special people for their educational empowerment. He also encouraged the wealth to do people and private entities to intervene in the support for the vulnerable people.

As an important milestone, ASATTAHIR International Foundation celebrates the retention, completion and progression of a talented young girl with sight impairment. We salute the resoluteness and doggedness of Maryam Shehu Adarawa in the fight against stigmatization as she prepare for a self sustaining livelihood through education.
