*ASATTAHIR INTERNATIONAL FOUNDATION PARTICIPATED IN THE OFFICIAL LAUNCH OF CIVIL SOCIETY OBSERVATORY PLATFORM ORGANIZED BY CLEEN FOUNDATION IN SOKOTO STATE*

ASATTAHIR International Foundation participated in the two day official launch and flag off of the Sokoto Civil Society Organizations Observatory Platform held from the 5th to 6th July 2023, at Sokoto Guest Inn, Sokoto state.

ASATTAHIR International Foundation was represented by its Head of Programs and Research, Rufus Yagkong.

The platform will work towards ensuring effecient implementation and compliance with the administration of criminal justice law (ACJL) in Sokoto state through advocacy, awareness raising campaigns and collaboration with relevant government, private and community stakeholders.

During the activity, the Observatory Platform mapped out ACJL relevant stakeholders in the state and developed strategic work-plan, strategies for engagement and key messages to be used in advocating and or in raising awareness on the implementation and administration of criminal justice law (ACJL) in the state.

The CSO observatory platform members actively participated in all the sessions which includes; pre and post assessments on general knowledge on ACJL, Clever Coalition Building and Institutional Strengthening, strategies to an effective advocacy, group works, review of ToR as well as the election of the CSO observatory platform’s leadership.

The sessions were anchored by the Senior Program Officer Ekobay C. Benard, supported by the Finance Officer, Chijioke Kaja and Dr. Abubakar Jibril rapporteur.
