*ASATTAHIR INTERNATIONAL FOUNDATION PARTICIPATED IN STRATEGIC MEETING CONVENED BY THE DIRECTOR OF NIGERIA INGO FORUM AND THE HEAD OF OCHA*

On 12th August 2025, ASATTAHIR International Foundation (AIF) participated in a high-level strategic meeting convened by the Nigeria INGO Forum (NIF) and the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) in Sokoto State.

The meeting brought together humanitarian and development actors working across Northwest Nigeria to strengthen coordination, address operational challenges, and explore joint opportunities for more impactful programming.

AIF was represented by its Founder and Chairman, Board of Trustees, Aliyu Sidi Attahiru MBA, FICRPC, and the Head of Programs and Research, Rufus Yagkong.

The objectives of the meeting were to;

Strengthen strategic engagement between field-level actors and coordination leadership.

Discuss emerging trends, gaps, and priorities in the Northwest humanitarian and development context.

Identify opportunities for stronger joint planning, advocacy, and coordination.

The meeting provided a platform for open dialogue between partners working across various locations and sectors in the region, fostering the exchange of experiences, identification of shared challenges, and development of practical solutions aimed at strengthening humanitarian and development coordination in Northwest Nigeria.

Key topics included access constraints, funding limitations, evolving security dynamics, and the need for integrated interventions.

AIF’s participation in this strategic engagement reaffirmed its commitment to collaborative action in addressing humanitarian and development challenges in Northwest Nigeria.
