Today 13th October 2022, ASATTAHIR International Foundation has participated in a One Day Sokoto state Development Plan (SDP) Validation and Strategic Projection Inputs Meeting with Development Partners and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in Sokoto state, held at Dankani Guest Palace, Sokoto.
The session was led by State2State funded project coordinated by the Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning, Sokoto. In his operating remarks, the representative of the STL State2State thanked all participants for accepting the invitation within short notice. He also charged all participants to be actively involved in providing inputs that would enhance the credibility and effectiveness of the SDP.
The session was broken into five groups each representing a sector pillar; Economic Development, Infrastructure Development, Social Development and Welfare, Sustainable Environment Urban and Rural Development and Governance.
ASATTAHIR as a humanitarian organization actively participated and made significant contributions under the ‘Social Development and Welfare’ sector pillar.
AIF representative provided support in the review of pillar draft and validated the report and strategic projection of the SDP particularly the health and nutrition components. Appropriate inputs and recommendations were made and submitted to the pillar consultant.
The session ended with group photographs and exchange of pleasantries by all participants.
