As a humanitarian outfit with keen interest and commitment to the plight and dignity of women, ASATTAHIR International Foundation was Ong the key stakeholders for WRAPA’s strategic meeting and capacity building for SCOs.
The foundation was represented by Zuwaira Umar Yabo, a member of the Board of Trustees. The meeting reflected on the global development framework- Sustainable Development Goals (DDGs) particularly on Goals 5, 16 & 17.
The Executive Secretary of the ASATTAHIR International foundation, Prof. Yahaya Tanko Baba was the resource person that guided the meeting with a presentation on Capacity Building for CSOs for the smooth implementation of of SDGs on SGBV, HP and SRHR with the view to reducing and/or eliminating Gender Based Violence, Harmful Practices and Sexual Reproductive and Health Rights.
The Legal Adviser of the Foundation, Barrister Rashidat Mohammed of the Rashida Mohammed & Co also participated in the Strategic Stakeholders’ Meeting. The program had breakout sessions with tasks to groups where presentations were made by six groups on different aspects on SDGs, SGBV, HP and HRSR. The meeting was concluded with suggestions from stakeholders and resource persons.
