ASATTAHIR INTERNATIONAL FOUNDATION PARTICIPATED IN A 2-DAY CAPACITY BUILDING ON FINANCIAL AND OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT ORGANIZED BY INTEGRATED HEALTH PROGRAM (IHP)

ASATTAHIR International Foundation participated in a 2-day capacity building workshop which was organized by Integrated Health Program (IHP) to Civil Society Organizations, Non-Governmental Organizations and vendors in Sokoto state from the 29th – 30th March 2023.

The Foundation was represented by its Assistant Finance Officers I & II Hajiya Sa’adatu Musa Gotomo and Shalom Yusuf Atiku.

Noting how critical strong Financial and Operations Management is to Civil Society Organizations and the private sector in general, the USAID Integrated Health Program (IHP) have conducted a capacity building training to member organizations of the Coalition of NGOs Sokoto state chapter.

The overall objective was to enable Civil Society Organizations, NGOs and vendors understand how to design and execute effective financial systems, how budgeting are done and enable them have better knowledge of control system and financial reporting for organizational growth and sustainability.

Discussion and plenary sessions were anchored by various officials and specialists from the Integrated Health Program (IHP). Components of the training includes; an overview of Integrated Health Program (IHP), USAID regulations and best practices in Financial and Budget Management Cycle.

The 2-day capacity building training came to a close with closing remarks by the Senior Grants and Compliance Manager Nkechi Acho.
