ASATTAHIR International Foundation (AIF) represented by its Founder and Chairman Board of Trustees Aliyu Sidi Attahiru joined Nigeria delegates in the just concluded regional leadership retreat of West African Coalition Against Trafficking in Persons and Smuggling of Migrants (WACTIPSOM) which took place in Sandralia hotel Abuja, Nigeria.
The 3-day activity which ended on the 22nd January 2024, comprised regional heads of the 15 WACTIPSOM member countries of West African subregion including the state, zonal and the national leadership of NACTAL, representative of the Sokoto neighborhood watch against human trafficking.
Dignitaries during the activity included her excellency the wife of the former vice president of Nigeria Chief Mrs Titi Atiku Abubakar, NACTAL board members, FIIAP team lead, ECOWAS, EU, NAPTIP, IPA, UNODC, NIS and many national and multinational partners.
Some of the activities conducted included WACTIPSOM constitution review, five year strategic work plan and 2024 work plan development which were all adopted as working documents for the WACTIPSOM.
The leadership retreat ended with the 15 member countries committing to the eradication of TIP-SOM in the West African subregion.
