ASATTAHIR International Foundation on Thursday the 31st of October, 2019 served as a Special Guest in the send off ceremony in honor of the outgoing Sokoto Zonal Commandant of NAPTIP. Barrister H. H. Tahir. The ceremony took place at the zonal headquarters No. 7 Bunza Road, Sokoto. The celebrant was promoted to Regional Director in charge of Northern Nigeria. As a tradition the Sokoto Zonal Office honored him with a send off ceremony and gifts as a mark of appreciation of his service and the achievements recorded during his time. ASATTAHIR Delegation at the ceremony was led by it’s Founder and Chairman Board of Trustees, Aliyu Sidi Attahiru. In his speech, Aliyu Sidi Attahiru commended the commitment of the outgoing Commandant and his dynamism, which transforms the activities of NAPTIP in the zone. The Chairman, particularly acknowledged the efforts made by the commandant to collaborate with stakeholders in the fight against human trafficking and the support for victims human trafficking and abuses if various sorts.
On his part, the outgoing Commandant thanked the staff of NAPTIP for organizing the send off and urges them to extend the same gesture of support and cooperation to the newly posted zonal Commandant. He particularly appreciated ASATTAHIR for their support to NAPTIP in terms of feeding victims of human trafficking and the shelter facility provided for the upkeep of victims.
The incoming zonal Commandant, Alh. Abubakar Abdullahi Tabra congratulated the outgoing Commandant and wish him well in his new place of assignment. He further committed himself to the continuation of the partnerships and collaborations forged by the leadership of NAPTIP in the state.
Goodwill messages from stakeholders such as Save the Child Initiative, Hizba and sister security organizations were presented, which rounded off the ceremony.
