On the 10th October 2024, ASATTAHIR International Foundation received a group of Pharmaceutical students of Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto, Nigeria.
The purpose of their visit was to familiarize themselves with the humanitarian and development services that will adequately prepare them to contribute meaningfully to the society in general.
The students who were inspired by the activities of AIF ceized the opportunity to share their short and long term visions in relation to public health with specific target to adolescent girls as it relates to menstrual health and water sanitation and hygiene (WASH) practices.
Receiving the visiting team, the Founder and Chairman Board of Trustees, Aliyu Sidi Attahiru delightfully welcomed them and expressed how impressed he was with their determination to contribute to the society. He assured that AIF is open to welcoming find minds and innovations.
Similarly, the Executive Secretary of AIF, Prof. Yahaya Tanko Baba briefly guided them on the processes involved in the planning and execution of any conceived idea on medical outreach in the society. He urged them to be conscious and respectful to the given laws of the land.
In the same vein, AIF’s Head of Access and Safety Department, Dr. Garba Ibrahim further encouraged them to prioritize their academic pursuits while engaged in other social interventions.
The meeting ended with delighted appreciation by the students and subsequently a group photograph.
