ASATTAHIR International Foundation (AIF) has on Friday, 30th January 2026, provided food assistance to 250 internally displaced persons (IDPs) at Ramin Kura IDP Camp, Sokoto state.
The intervention was implemented under AIF’s Food Security and Livelihoods (FSL) Project and targeted 150 children and 100 nursing mothers, who were supported with hot meal assistance.
In addition, AIF’s team conducted a rapid assessment of coping mechanisms among IDP households, focusing on health, nutrition, and livelihoods, to inform future programming and response planning.
The findings will guide the design and implementation of durable solutions, including livelihood recovery support, skills development, and resilience-building interventions, aimed at promoting self-reliance, long-term food security, and reduced dependency on humanitarian assistance among displaced populations.
