ASATTAHIR INTERNATIONAL FOUNDATION (AIF) PARTICIPATES IN STEPDOWN TRAINING ON NGO SELF-REGULATION ORGANIZED BY THE COALITION OF NON-GOVERNMENTAL ORGANIZATIONS, SOKOTO (CONSS)* ‎


‎On Wednesday 29th April 2026, ASATTAHIR International Foundation (AIF) participated in a one-day stepdown training on NGO self-regulation organized by the Coalition of Non-Governmental Organizations, Sokoto (CONSS).

‎The capacity development training was designed to strengthen organizational leadership, promote accountability, and advance the adoption of self-regulation practices within the civil society space in Sokoto State.

‎In his welcome remarks, the CONSS Chairman, Mal. Bello Shehu Gwadabawa, ably represented by the Secretary, Dr. Abdulrahman Umar, emphasized the importance of compliance, transparency, and ethical standards among civil society organizations. He noted that self-regulation is key to building public trust, enhancing credibility, and ensuring sustainability in the operations of NGOs.

‎The training was facilitated by Dr. Abdulrahman Umar and Muhammed Garba, who provided participants with practical insights into governance structures, financial accountability, reporting standards, and best practices necessary for effective organizational management.

‎ASATTAHIR International Foundation (AIF) was represented at the training by its Head of Programs and Research, Rufus Yagkong.
