Today 16th March 2026, ASATTAHIR International Foundation (AIF) participated in the State-Level Validation Workshop on Disaster Preparedness Capacity Assessment and the Analysis of Existing Early Warning Systems (EWS), hosted by ZOA International.
The initiative is implemented through a consortium comprising European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations (ECHO), Terre des Hommes, ZOA International, and Smiling Hearts Initiative International.
The workshop aimed to strengthen collaborative efforts to ensure lifesaving and dignified access to integrated essential basic needs and services for crisis-affected and hard-to-reach populations in rural communities across Sokoto State and Borno State.
The activity featured presentations on the assessment methodology and key findings, as well as the 2026 seasonal forecast presented by Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet). Participants also engaged in breakout group discussions and plenary validation sessions to review and refine the findings.
The workshop ended with a group photograph of participants, marking the successful completion of the validation exercise.
