*ASATTAHIR INTERNATIONAL FOUNDATION (AIF) PARTICIPATED IN THE GRAND LAUNCHING OF THE INNOVATIONS FOR POVERTY ACTION’S (IPA) PROJECT IN ABUJA, NIGERIA*


On the 7th December 2023, ASATTAHIR International Foundation (AIF) has graced the official launch of the Innovations for Poverty Action’s (IPA) project titled ‘Promoting Anti-trafficking Evidence-Based Efforts In Nigeria’.

The Foundation was ably represented by its Founder and Chairman Board of Trustees Aliyu Sidi Attahiru at John Wood Hotel by Bolton Abuja, Nigeria.

IPA is partnering with the National Agency for the Prohibition and Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP),
U.S. Department of State – Office to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons, U.S. Embassy Nigeria,
National Network Against Child Trafficking, Abuse and Labor (NACTAL)
Pathfinders Justice Initiative to implement the project in the selected states.

The intervention is a part of the ‘Program to End Modern Slavery’ (PEMS) funded by the U.S. State Department Office to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons in Nigeria.

IPA Nigeria Country Director, Funmi Ayeni gave the welcoming address and introduction while the Director General NAPTIP Prof. Fatima Waziri-Azi, Ph. D gave the opening remarks during the grand launch of the project.

The event was graced by representatives of the office of the vice president, it also featured the national president of NACTAL Mr Abdulganiyu Abubakar who gave a goodwill message as well as various government and development partners.

After the signing and exchange of the MoU between NAPTIP and IPA, the Founder and Chairman Board of Trustees of ASATTAHIR International Foundation Aliyu Sidi Attahiru expressed satisfaction with the pathways for more opportunities and collaboration paved during the event.
