ASATTAHIR International Foundation (AIF) has On 5th May, 2023 participated in an interactive session hosted by the representatives of United Nations Development Program (UNDP) Missions (held at the conference hall, UN field office Sokoto) under the umbrella of the Coalition of NGOs, Sokoto state chapter.
Presenting the works and thematic areas of the Foundation, the Executive Secretary ASATTAHIR International Foundation (AIF) Prof. Yahaya Tanko Baba highlighted on the Foundation’s ongoing interventions in the state, which cuts across nutrition, peace building, shelter for IDPs, governance, OVCs and climate change adaptation.
He also noted that AIF has made tremendous discoveries on the effective modalities to enhancing disaster early warning and early response systems; and promoting climate change adaptation as revealed by the Foundation’s published research work on Fire Disaster Preparedness and Response in Sokoto state.
He capped his remarks by hinting on the Foundation’s ongoing research with the aim to exploring the patterns of displacements and the plight of Internally Displaced Persons in Northwestern Nigeria covering Sokoto, Katsina and Zamfara states. He assured that AIF will disseminate the research findings accordingly.
As parting gift to the Mission team, he presented a copy of the Foundation’s research publication on behalf of the Foundation.
