On the 28th September, 2023 ASATTAHIR International Foundation (AIF) participated in a revitalization meeting with the national executives of the Civil Society Action Coalition on Education For All (CSACEFA).
The Civil Society Action coalition on Education for All (CSACEFA) has been in the forefront, advocating for quality and inclusive education for all in Nigeria, particularly reaching out to the teaming economically and socially disadvantaged out of school children and in the country.
The meeting was graced by the Founder and Chairman Board of Trustees of the Foundation Aliyu Sidi Attahiru who was accompanied by his Head of Programs and Research, Rufus Yagkong.
Members of the national team include the National Moderator who was accompanied by the national Secretary, Policy Advisor and the North West Zonal Coordinator.
The team’s mission to Sokoto was to monitor the ongoing European Union International Partnership Project (EU-INTPA), mentor the implementing partner and address the challenges that have bedeviled the Sokoto state chapter of the CSACEFA.
Following the exit of the state coordinator of the network in Sokoto state, the national team of the network led by the National Moderator together with the members of the network formed an interim committee to steer the affairs of the network while election is held in a few months time .
Part of the issues discussed during the meeting include the registration procedures for intending members. The national team also stressed to members the need to be resilient and the need to work closely with the national body of the network.
Sending his goodwill message, the Chief Executive Officer of Save The Child Initiative (the implementing partner with PLAN on the ongoing EU-INTPA project) Mr. Abdulganiyu Abubakar thanked the national team for coming down to Sokoto to physically interact with members and to propel the network to greater heights. He also commended the members for their resilience and for honoring the invitation as always.
In the same vein, the chairman Coalition of NGOs in Sokoto state, Bello Gwadabawa has expressed the coalition’s commitment to ensure members of CONSS particularly the working on education gets linked with CSACEFA.
On the membership strength and registration with the network in Sokoto state, the Founder and Chairman Board of Trustees of ASATTAHIR International Foundation Aliyu Sidi Attahiru called for more insight on the registration procedures and how intending members can register with the network easily.
The meeting ended with a clear path forged for the network to run effectively and exchange of pleasantries by participants.
