ASATTAHIR International Foundation (AIF) has participated in a 5-day capacity building on the prevention of violent extremism organized by North East Youth Initiative for Development (NEYIF).
NEYIF anchored the training from the 4th-8th December 2023 with funding from Global Community Engagement and Resilience Fund (GCERF).
The participants of the 5-day intensive training were drawn from 16 organizations and associations in Sokoto state each represented by its Programs, MEAL and Finance officers.
AIF was represented by its Head of Programs and Research Rufus Yagkong, Finance officer Sa’adatu Musa Gotomo and Monitoring & Evaluation and Learning (MEAL) officer Jamilu Tanko.
In his opening remarks, the executive director NEYIF Comrade Dauda Mohammad Gombe welcomed all participants and charged them to be attentive. He also noted that the aim of the training is to highlight the basic principles of prevention of violent extremism (PVE).
Components of the training include group works, concept of proposal writing, work plan development, finance and resource mobilization for organizations, monitoring & evaluation, compliance and accountability.
The 5-day activity was rounded up with presentation of certificates of attendance to all participants and group photograph.
