‎*ASATTAHIR INTERNATIONAL FOUNDATION AIF HAS PARTICIPATED IN STAKEHOLDERS WORKSHOP ON GREEN SKILLS AND CLIMATE CHANGE ASSESSMENT HOSTED BY UNICEF IN SOKOTO STATE* ‎

‎On August 12, 2026 ASATTAHIR International Foundation (AIF) participated in a stakeholder workshop on Green Skills and Climate Change Assessment in Sokoto State, organized by UNICEF in collaboration with the Sokoto State Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education (MoBSE).

‎The workshop brought together INGOs, NNGOs, CSOs, and private sector stakeholders to share experiences, ongoing initiatives, challenges, and good practices in green skills development and climate change education.

‎The activities included series of group work, brainstorming sessions, and interactive discussions, which provided participants with an opportunity to identify existing green skills initiatives, learning resources, gaps, challenges, and practical approaches for strengthening climate change education.

‎AIF was represented by it’s Head of Programs and Research Rufus Yagkong who actively highlighted AIF’s perspectives and experience, particularly on climate change, environmental sustainability, resilience, and livelihood development.

‎The outcome of the workshop is expected to contribute to the development of inclusive and context-responsive Green Skills and Climate Change Learning Materials for schools, non-formal learning centres, education agencies, and digital learning platforms.

‎AIF appreciates UNICEF and MoBSE for the opportunity to contribute to this important initiative and remains committed to supporting climate action, environmental education, resilience, and sustainable development in Sokoto State and beyond.
