‎*ASATTAHIR INTERNATIONAL FOUNDATION (AIF) DISTRIBUTES MEAL PACKS TO OVER 600 INTERNALLY DISPLACED PERSONS (IDPs) IN SOKOTO STATE* ‎

‎ASATTAHIR International Foundation (AIF) on the 30th August 2026, distributed wet food meal packs to over 600 internally displaced persons (IDPs) living in an IDP camp and host communities in Sokoto State.

‎With the support and collaboration of local communities, AIF’s Nutrition Unit targeted displaced persons residing at Ramin Kura IDP Camp and Dandinkowa Community, both in Sokoto North Local Government Area.

‎The beneficiaries include displaced persons who fled their communities in several LGAs across Sokoto State, including Sabon Birni, Rabah, Goronyo, Isa, and Wurno, among others.

‎The intervention forms part of AIF’s ongoing humanitarian response aimed at complementing government efforts to cushion the impact of displacement, reduce food insecurity, and provide immediate food assistance to vulnerable displaced populations.

‎Through this intervention, AIF is supporting affected families with immediate nutritional assistance while strengthening community-based mechanisms for supporting displaced persons and their host communities.

‎AIF remains committed to working with government, local communities, development partners, and other stakeholders to respond to the urgent needs of vulnerable populations and contribute to sustainable humanitarian and development solutions across Sokoto State and Northwest Nigeria.
