ASATTAHIR INTERNATIONAL FOUNDATION (AIF) DISTRIBUTED PREPARED TOM BROWN PACKS TO INTERNALLY DISPLACED HOUSEHOLDS IN RAMIN KURA IFP CAMP SOKOTO STATE:

‎ASATTAHIR International Foundation (AIF) on the 30th January 2026, distributed prepared Tom Brown nutritional formula to 10 nursing mothers and caregivers of children aged 6–59 months at Ramin Kura IDP Camp, Sokoto North Local Government Area.

‎The intervention aimed to support optimal infant and young child feeding practices and contribute to the prevention and reduction of malnutrition among vulnerable children in emergency settings.

‎During the activity, the targeted households were sensitized on the composition of Tom Brown, its nutritional value, and its importance in improving the nutritional status of children.

‎AIF team further provided demonstrations on the proper preparation and administration of Tom Brown to ensure safe, hygienic, and effective feeding for children.

‎This intervention was implemented as an outcome of the capacity-building training received by AIF during the Training of Trainers (TOT) on Integrated Community-Based Management of Acute Malnutrition (IMAM) and Maternal Infant and Young Child Nutrition in Emergency (MIYCN-E), organized by the Catholic Relief Services (CRS) under the Kyautata Rayuwa Project in Sokoto state in March, 2025.

‎Integrating the knowledge and skills gained from CRS into our ongoing nutrition programmes demonstrates AIF’s commitment to translating capacity-building into coordinated, sustainable action through strong synergy and collaboration with partners, ultimately strengthening community resilience and improving nutrition outcomes for children and caregivers in emergency settings.
