‎*ASATTAHIR INTERNATIONAL FOUNDATION (AIF) CELEBRATES ITS FOUNDER OVER HIS MERITORIOUS ADMISSION AS MEMBER OF THE AFRICAN UNION (AU) AMBASSADORIAL ASSEMBLY AGENDA 2063* ‎


‎Asattahir International Foundation (AIF) celebrates Its Founder over his meritorious admission as Member of the African Union (AU) Ambassadorial Assembly Agenda 2063. This event took place on Friday, 12th December, 2025 at AIF’s office.

‎The ceremony brought together dignitaries, various MDAs, legal practitioners, and well-wishers. Special guests included Dr. Florence Awosan who represented the State Commandant of Nigerian Security Civil Depence Corps (NSCDC), Alh. Musa Wamakko (Director International Cooperation, Sokoto state Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning), Mustapha Umar and Abubakar Gani from SEMA, Barr. Rashidat Mohammed (Chairman, NBA Sokoto who doubles as the Coordinator National Human Rights Commission, Sokoto), Mr. Dange S. Ibrahim (Nigerian Red Cross Society), Dr. Abdullahi Musa (Director Public Affairs and Consumer Protection (NAMA), Prof. Ibrahim Mustapha Dankani (Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences, Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto), Dr. Garba Ibrahim, Dr. Abdullahi Ekundayo, Haj. Ummul-khair Shehu Ambursa and Dr. Abubakar Bazza.

‎The event commenced with a welcome address by AIF’s Executive Secretary, Prof. Yahaya Tanko Baba, who thanked all invited guests for attending and provided an overview of the purpose of the occasion. ‎He further highlighted the ambassador’s role in advancing humanitarian and development initiatives, as well as his new responsibilities within the AU Ambassadorial Assembly Agenda 2063.

‎Following the welcome address, AIF’s Head of Programs and Research, Mr. Rufus Yagkong, delivered a powerful introduction of the Ambassador, detailing his achievements, leadership journey, and contributions as Founder of AIF and as a Fellow and Northwest Regional Coordinator of the Institute for Crisis Resolution, Peacebuilding and Conciliation (ICRPC).

‎The celebration featured a special unveiling of the official AU vehicle number plates, diplomatic passport, ambassadorial certificate, plaque and ID card. Similarly, the occasion witnessed goodwill messages from some prominent personalities who were in attendance, where they acknowledged the ambassador’s achievements and his role in advancing AU Agenda 2063.

‎In his address, Amb. Aliyu Sidi Attahiru expressed his delight and heartfelt appreciation to all stakeholders, emphasizing that the honor is a collective recognition of AIF’s team, partners, and supporters. He reaffirmed his commitment to fostering continental integration, peace, and development.

‎The celebration concluded with a vote of thanks, shared excitements and group photographs, marking a memorable occasion of pride for all.
