ASATTAHIR International Foundation (AIF) participated in the Dissemination Workshop on the Durable Solution Survey and Neighborhood Action Plan under the European Union Support for Protection and Durable Solutions (EU-SPADS) project on 9 September, 2026 in Sokoto State.
The programme was organized by the Danish Refugee Council (DRC) in partnership with the Joint IDP Profiling Service (JIPS), the Sokoto State Bureau of Statistics, and the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).
The workshop brought together a diverse range of stakeholders, including representatives of government Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs), NGOs, donor agencies, development and humanitarian partners. Government institutions represented included the Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning, Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, and the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA).
The event also provided a platform for members of host communities, leadership and representatives of displaced persons, community leaders, and other relevant stakeholders to engage on the findings of the Durable Solution Survey and priorities identified through the Neighborhood Action Plan.
The dissemination served as an important platform for sharing evidence, strengthening stakeholder coordination, and promoting inclusive and locally informed approaches to durable solutions for internally displaced persons and host communities in Sokoto State.
