ASATTAHIR International Foundation (AIF) has participated in the NACTAL’s monthly meeting of the Sokoto State chapter. The monthly review meeting was held at the conference room of Helping Hands and Grassroot Support Initiative, Sokoto on the 14th January, 2022. The Head of Programs of ASATTAHIR International Foundation (AIF), Mr. Rufus Yagkong represented the organization at the meeting.
After formal introduction by representatives of various organizations, the state coordinator NACTAL, Mr. Bello Gwadabawa welcomed participants and gave update on membership registration. He further clarified the cumbersome nature of registration with the network is to ascertain the genuiety and commitment of organizations that intend to register.
The national president of the network Mr. Abdulganiyu Abubakar gave the background of NACTAL and how it started 17 years ago. He highlighted the prospects of collaborating with NACTAL and urged organizations to apply for registration with the network to foster robust collaboration and positive impacts in the society. The president also informed the participants that the probation period for new registrants has now been reduced from two years to just six months. He took the participants through the application form and the registration procedures.
Similarly, a technical advisor on criminal investigation from FIIAPP Mr. Sani Dantuni Bello called on member organizations to be creative and innovative by coming up with strategies of mitigating the challenges of child abuse, child labour and human trafficking. He also called for collaboration and networking among CSOs as a strategy to winning more grants.
