Justice for the Kano Abducted Children:
Asattahir International Foundation Commends Kano State Government and Encourage Security Agents to Continue to Protect Vulnerable Children:
The intervention of the Kano State Government following the rescue of nine abducted children from the state has been commended.
The commendation was made by Asattahir International Foundation in a statement signed by its founder and Chairman, Board of Trustees, Malam Aliyu Sidi Attahiru Sokoto and made available to newsmen on Sunday November 3, 2019.
“The intervention and instrumental roles of Kano State Government was timely and a welcome development. We are also pleased that the Kano State Government, further gave N1million to support each of the nine victims’ families,” it stated.
The foundation also commended security agencies for their vigilance and swift response leading to the rescue of the abducted Kano Children.
“We also use this opportunity to express our support to security agencies for this significant feat achieved in the protection of people particularly the vulnerable in the society. We also encourage the security agencies to continue to forge synergy and cooperation between and among themselves and in collaboration with stakeholders and the public in the provision of security to the less previlleged” it said.
Assatahir Foundation however, called on parents to be alive to their responsibilities of their children’s upkeep and training in order to protect them from abuses and threats of many sorts.
“Children are precious and blessings from God and must be well protected and catered for. We urge parents to be responsible in the upbringing of their children or wards,” it added.
The foundation stressed that it will always stand in support of humanity, using its financial and other resources in the protection of the vulnerable groups.
It would be recalled that children between the ages of two to ten were abducted by criminal elements from Kano State and subsequently relocated to another region of the country.
The children were abducted from various locations within the state capital and trafficked to Anambra State for illegal adoption, forced labour and abuses of various kinds.
